TASTE OF IRON - 20 minute short film 

A film noir set in a dark and rainy coastal village - Wijk aan Zee 

A tempest of wind and rain, shrouded in darkness and the deafening roar of the sea. Iwan gazes down, his wetsuit stained with a stream of blood. Wijk aan Zee, a desolate surf town in the Netherlands, a place of history and decay. 

This is the trailer for Taste of Iron — a passion film project that’s still in the making.

At its core, Taste of Iron explores the tension between the past and the present. In many ways, the creation process reflects that theme as well. It has become a hybrid approach: traditional cinematography meeting new technology, including AI and VFX.

The full script is now finished, and this trailer offers a first glimpse into the world and tone of the film. It was made together with great friends — very much a true passion project.
